What is your current practice area?

Labor & Employment, Business Litigation

Please provide a short bio of your background:

I am a Riveria Beach, Florida native. Prior to law school, I became a certified teacher because of my passion for education. I continue to work with and mentor the youth in my community. Outside of my legal practice, I am the CEO and founder of a new, online accessory brand.

What adversity have you faced because of your diverse characteristic and how did you overcome it?

Often when I walk into the room, I am the youngest person present. At times, I am also one of the only black women in certain rooms. These differences sometimes cause others to overlook or underestimate me. I overcome this by using that to my advantage: I work hard to be prepared and put my best foot forward at all times.

Why is diversity important to the practice of law in Palm Beach County?

As a Palm Beach County native, I have seen the diversity that this county has to offer. Diversity of race, ethnicity, ability, gender, ideas, etc. is important because it ensures that the attorneys in this area are representative of the community that we serve.
